Over the past few years, I’ve taken hundreds of photos and produced hours of video content in malls both living and dead. I’ve got some interesting (and a few crazy…) stories that I’ve never really shared with my audience. I’d like to change that.
But this isn’t just about my stories! Across YouTube and Instagram, I’m rapidly closing in on 10,000 followers. I’d like to share some of YOUR stories, photos, and videos about malls with that audience. Because I know you’ve got some good ones.
I figured that the easiest way to do this would be to set up a Typeform with a few prompts to get you started. When you click that link, it should look like this:
Initially I’m opening up submissions for however long it takes to get ten stories to work on. (I already have one of my own I’m tweaking, so make that nine stories.)
As for how I’m going to frame and introduce these stories? Well…I’m not quite sure about that part yet. But I know we’ll have some fun as I figure it out.
The next step? If you aren’t already, make sure you’re subscribed to get full access to the newsletter and website. And submit your stories! Or, if you know someone who has a great one, send this post to them. I’ll be eternally grateful if you do.
I’ll be posting about the Typeform on Instagram this week. If you’re already receiving this in your inbox, it means you’re an early adopter. Nice! It also means you have a headstart on getting some of your content over to me…so take advantage if ya like.
Look out for my first post – on how I fell in love with dead malls – in the next week or two. Until then, thanks so much for coming on this journey with me!
I LOVE this project idea. Going to let it marinate in my brain over the weekend and see what comes out - some of my best memories are from Y2K era malls! :)
